NOTE: These birds are NOT available for Adoption !! Also, please remember, Animal Control is there for a reason..... !!!! When someone tries to help you --- listen! Take good care of what God gave us. They do not belong to us! They are in our care. If you see a bird living in these conditions, please dont let it suffer!! \ Day of RESCUE (above) (look below for recent picture) Idgy (before rescue) - Almost weaning age. However Idgy was not able to eat on his/her own. Not yet... Look at this picture. Is that a bird ready for years full of fun? Or, is that a bird ready to give up? Please --- If you cannot care for them properly, find good homes for them. Dont procrastinate. Dont let them suffer. KEEP your environment CLEAN !! These birds were in a condition that would have led them to an unnecessary, cruel and painful death. The "green" on the Lutino Cockatiel (Baby Doll) was MOLD !!! Pop A Tops was suffering from liver failure and probably would have died if we did not get him when we did. These poor birds had sores all over their body, their feet hurt, they could barely open their wings. Their feathers were brittle with very little color. The list of health problems was despicable. They even had neon green droppings. These birds have a heart and a soul and do not deserve to live so miserably...... How very very sad that they had to live in such horrible conditions. We were told that Happy Man and Baby Doll were rescued before. Only to come, once again, to live in an unhealthy environment... How sad for them! Important Note: These birds were taken immediately to a veterinarian!!! The treatment was expensive, but very much worth it! If you rescue a bird and do not get professional help with them, you may be dealing with much more than you even realize! Birds mask their troubles. They do not want to look sickly to their foe. Take them to the veterinarian. Give them the chance to be fully healed. We will do our very best to make sure that the rest of their days will be spent in happiness!! If you are interested in adoption contact your local rescue. Dont keep silent...... Give a bird like this one a clean loving home to enjoy!!

This page is dedicated to Sweetie the Lineolated Parakeet and to Cookie, my Cockatiel. I lost Cookie last year due to MY OWN NEGLIGENCE... We lost Sweetie due to someone elses negligence. Both avoidable. Hopefully, THESE experiences can help all of us to take care of our birds and do our very best to provide them with the best life possible. All the birds displayed on this page have been rescued

Enjoy life Idgy - your wings will grow back!! Left - Rosey enjoying her swing.
